Musical narration in Italian and English

Musical narration with Riccardo Negrelli.

In 2006, UNESCO recognized Bologna as a City of Music, affirming the importance and cultural prestige of our local yet international history as a heritage of humanity. The Museo internazionale e biblioteca della musica, inaugurated in 2004, as well as the Sala della Musica, open to the public since 2021, contribute to the narration of all the most fascinating and heterogeneous nuances of this energy, which has evolved, proposed, expressed, and renewed over time.

Narration by Riccardo Negrelli, co-curator of the Sala della Musica project.

The partnership between the Museo della Musica and the Sala della Musica has led to a shared project called "Legature," which aims to tell the diverse nuances of the city's musical history.

Initiative promoted by the Culture and Creativity Sector of the Municipality of Bologna as part of the actions of Bologna City of Music UNESCO.

The Sala della Musica, on the second floor of the Salaborsa Library, is the first permanent exhibition in Italy dedicated to the history of popular music in a city.
